‘Shark Tank’ meets ‘New Girl’? Lori Greiner to receive pitch from Nick, Schmidt
Who says that a shark cannot swim to another episode? Lori Greiner, the “Queen of QVC” who has appeared in several seasons of ABC’s “Shark Tank,” has found herself a scripted gig for at least one episode: “New Girl.”
According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Greiner is going to appear as herself in an upcoming episode later this year, where she will receive a pitch-of-sorts from Nick (Jake Johnson) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) about a product that they have come up with: The swuit. Basically, this is one part suit, and also one part sweatsuit. It may be completely bizarre, but we still somehow have a feeling that there would be a tiny percentage of the country who could wear this to work, if they could get away with it.
Basically, we see there being zero chance that Lori would want to invest in this, despite Kevin O’Leary’s claim on “Shark Tank” that she has found quite a bit of success investing in what he called “crap.” This may just be a bridge too far for any shark to bite.
We’re down to see this appearance happen, mostly because we’re always particularly fond of anytime that you can have Nick having some sort of antics around people in authority positions. He is probably going to get really nervous and completely bomb this; meanwhile, Schmidt will probably be extremely aggressive, and if that does not go his way, we would not be that surprised if he tried to start laying on the charm.
New installments of “New Girl” air on Fox Tuesday nights. For now, we say to share some of your thoughts on this casting below.
