This “Madam Secretary” article is stuffed full of both good news and bad … but we will begin with the bad: Once again, there is no new episode airing on CBS tonight. This is the second straight week that the drama has been off of the air, but rest assured that there will be so much more to come.
The first bit of new information that we have for you here comes courtesy of episode titles! The show’s January 4 return carries with it the title “Standoff,” while the one that airs after that has the title of “Chains of Command.” This should create a double-dose of drama, and you can at least feel confident that you get to see two episodes airing in consecutive weeks after this lengthy holiday hiatus.
As for what happens after this schedule-wise, we will have to wait and see. Things do get a little bit crazy thanks to everything from the NFL playoffs to the Super Bowl to the Oscars to the Grammys. This is why CBS can probably afford to front-load their seasons as much as they do in the fall.
Just so that you have something new to watch pertaining to “Madam Secretary,” the wonderful new video below features series star Tea Leoni appearing on “The Talk,” where she discusses with the other ladies some of the work that she put in to be properly prepared for playing her Elizabeth character.
While there is no official word on the show’s future beyond this season, a recent press release from CBS detailed that this show is posting significant year-to-year increases in its time period when it comes to wealthy viewers … who have plenty of money to spend.
