‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ preview: Phaedra Parks helps out Derek J

Is there a “hair burglar” on the loose? As ridiculous as that may sound, this is something that Phaedra Parks is going to be dealing with on the new “Real Housewives of Atlanta” episode airing on Bravo Sunday night.

In the sneak-peek video at the bottom of this article, you can get a pretty good idea of just what Phaedra is up against. Derek J is being accused of basically pilfering good hair weaves from women at a salon, and therefore, it is damaging his reputation. Most of this video is spent in defense of him, and this is so easy to understand why. If he has success, why on earth would he do something so petty to save a little bit of money?

Ultimately, this may be the consequence of newfound fame, which is something that Phaedra herself quickly suggests. After all, this man has become a celebrity in a short amount of time, and therefore, there are always going to be people who try to tear you down with allegations. Maybe there is a grudge, or maybe they are just plain cruel. It is hard to ultimately say, but this is something that we are going to look at and discuss further as the season goes on.

Phaedra’s story as a whole this year is going to be an interesting one. Due to what happened to Apollo and some of the hard time that he faces in prison, she has quite a bit that she is going to have to contend with.
