‘Arrow’ season 3, episode 9 podcast: On winter finale ‘The Climb,’ Oliver’s fate with Jessa
It may have taken a while for “Arrow” season 3 to build towards the winter finale “The Climb,” but in the end, it feels a little like it was worth the wait.
This episode was a whole lot of fun to watch, and therefore, it was also a whole lot of fun to podcast. In this edition, Matt Carter and Jessa do everything that they can to get to the bottom of one major issue: Is Oliver Queen still alive, and how does his battle with Ra’s al Ghul ultimately change the show?
This podcast spends a whole lot of time trying to establish what could happen in the next few episodes, including who could actually be the one to save Oliver if he does in the end get rescued. (Quick note: At one point, we do refer to Maseo as Tatsu, who is his wife. Apologies for the confusion!)
From here, we discuss how Oliver’s temporary exit may shape the rest of the characters, and also some of the other events from the episode, including Ray Palmer’s plan becoming more and more clear and also Laurel telling both Thea and her mother about what happened to Sara Lance. Still, Quentin appears to be for the most part in the dark.
Also, we share some of the latest “Arrow” news, and also speculate on some particular stories and characters we would like to see in the second half of the season. The show returns come Wednesday, January 21, and we will have further podcasts then. You can check out some of our others now on iTunes!
If you missed it, we recently posted our podcast for the “Arrow” / “Flash” crossover, as well, and you can see that over at the link here.
