‘The X Factor’ UK: Mel B hospitalized, Tulisa to be replacement judge

It looks like going into tonight’s all-new episode of “The X Factor” that there is going to be quite a change in the judging department. For the first time this season, we will not have a member of the familiar panel present.

According to multiple sources, Mel B has fallen extremely ill, and due to that, is almost sure to miss the final tonight on ITV. Due to this, it is highly likely that Tulisa will replace her on the judging panel. The singer famously did serve as a judge for two seasons, helping to guide such talent as Little Mix and Ella Henderson.

You can also read into this that it is another strong vote of confidence that Tulisa has from show boss Simon Cowell. With Cheryl Fernandez-Virsini’s future on the series relatively unclear, she could be a solid replacement for her on the next season of the show. She went through a hard time after departing the program previously, but has since gotten things back together and is on the comeback trail.

Tulisa has also made a number of appearances on “The X Factor” itself this year. This started when she showed up on the beach for Louis Walsh’s judges houses. She then went on to help Stereo Kicks with a song that she had chosen for them.

We’ve always felt like Tulisa was a solid judge, so we have no problem with her being a replacement tonight. With that said, we wish Mel well.
