‘Two and a Half Men’ season 12 spoilers: Is Charlie Sheen returning for series finale?

Ashton -You probably knew this was coming a mile away, even if the relationship between Charlie Sheen and “Two and a Half Men” executive producer Chuck Lorre is far from rosy: It is looking more and more like the show’s original star will be making at least a cameo appearance during the CBS show’s upcoming series finale.

This story and discussion point came up on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” this week, where, upon being asked if Charlie was coming back, series star Ashton Kutcher claimed that “if you’re working on the Warner Bros. lot, if there’s sirens, come save me.” Also, he joked that “if you smell something,” he is not the one smoking it.

Basically, all of this leans towards at least one more Sheen appearance, but how would it go? One option is to always have him be a ghost, which is basically what we had with Kathy Bates minus the whole Kathy Bates part of it. Also, another great option would be to include him in a flashback, a dream sequence, or if you really wanted to get crazy with it, have him reveal that he masterfully faked his own death and convinced Rose to lie about it.

A Sheen return would still feel like a victory for most most likely, along with some of the other fans of the show who preferred it with Charlie on it. We would argue that there have been some good episodes since he departed the series, but at the same time, some of the most memorable ones done featured him from and center.
