‘Elementary’ season 3, episode 8 preview: Someone airs Sherlock’s dirty laundry
While there are times when we do not hear that much about it, one of the issues that does remain at the crux of “Elementary” as a show is the addiction that our lead character Sherlock Holmes suffers from. He struggles to figure out how to make it work, though at times, he also figures out ways to use it to his advantage.
Unfortunately for him, this is not something that appears to be happening on the show’s winter finale airing next week, which carries with it the title of “End of Watch.” Basically, Jonny Lee Miller’s character is going to have most of his private comments during sobriety meetings made public, and this obviously could bear huge on his professional career. Granted, that depends on just what he has been saying.
The official synopsis below should offer you up a little bit more in the way of specifics:
“Holmes and Watson join forces with the NYPD after a police officer is murdered. Also, Sherlock searches for the creator of a “recovery blog” who is posting personal statements he has made in sobriety meetings.”
To us, this sounds like one of the most intriguing episodes of the year so far, mostly because we have not run into many cases that have really hit Holmes that close to home. Instead, most of the story has instead focused on the arrival of Kitty Winter, the new dynamic between Holmes and Watson, and of course the variety of cases that they take on. There is occasionally some humor thrown in here, but we do hope for something more from this show for the most part.
