‘Criminal Minds’ season 10, episode 11 preview: When will Thomas Gibson, cast return?

“Criminal Minds” season 10 has been on quite a run the past several weeks, even airing a new episode the night before Thanksgiving.

However, don’t all things come to an end? It certainly feels that way, and Wednesday night marked the last installment for 2014. Let’s hope you are all right with waiting! Next week, CBS is airing the finale for “Survivor: San Juan del Sur,” and after that, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve each fall on a Wednesday. There is no need to have new installments for a while.

Therefore, don’t expect any more stories featuring Thomas Gibson or the rest of the cast for a while. Specifically, the series will return on Wednesday, January 14 with the second half of the season.

One of the reasons we are fine with waiting more than a month for more episodes is simple: Ratings. While this show is far from dependent on “Survivor,” it definitely can use that show to boost its numbers still, and ever since “Survivor” moved to Wednesdays, they have been an excellent combination.

With that being said, “Criminal Minds” will actually be a part of a lineup with “The Mentalist” for a while, and the great reality competition will be back on the air come Wednesday, February 25.

As for some of the stories you can expect ahead for these characters, we are going to see Rossi’s daughter again. Not only that, but JJ is going to have a big story, and there are some mysterious things taking shape near the end of the season.
