‘The Mentalist’ season 7 spoilers: When are Rigsby and Van Pelt returning?

While you have known already (at least if you were on CarterMatt yesterday) that Owain Yeoman and Amanda Righetti are bringing Rigsby and Van Pelt back to “The Mentalist,” we are now here today with some more information on another subject: When the two parties are going to be returning.

According to TVLine, these two characters are going to be back in action at some point during the show’s two-hour series finale, which is going to air on Wednesday, February 18. While the exact role of these two characters is still unclear, we are excited to see them! It also seems to be very appropriate that if the two characters are going to be back on the show, they are going to be back for the very end. This is when the storytelling will be at its peak.

There are going to be some more episodes airing on Sunday nights throughout the rest of the year, and following that, the show is going to be moving into its Wednesday timeslot in January. “The Good Wife” then will resume airing on Sunday.

We feel in the end very happy that “The Mentalist” is doing its part to honoring as many longtime stars of the show by the time the story comes to a close. We just hope that Rigsby and Van Pelt have an enormous role in the final episodes, and this is not just some hokey cameo to convince us to watch something we’d already be checking out.
