‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6 spoilers: Paul Wesley teases major death coming
Here’s some bad news and good news for fans of “The Vampire Diaries.” We’ll start with the former, and that is that it is looking more and more like we are going to see a major character die at some point very soon on the show. However, at the same time, being dead does not really mean a whole lot when it comes to whether or not you are gone for good.
This somewhat-ominous news comes courtesy of series star Paul Wesley, who teases the following in a new interview with E! News:
“Dude, there’s always deaths, there is a big one coming up, I will say that, there is a big one that’s really going to break the people’s hearts.”
The one reason that we are somewhat-worried that this death could be a series regular is simply this: The midseason finale is one that is going to feature flashbacks to the early days of the show, when the characters were mostly still high-school students. Shows like to use flashbacks in order to present a full-circle effect before killing someone off. This is something that we saw with “Revenge” during the midseason finale there (that’s all we will say since anything else would be a spoiler).
Right now, we feel like the only people who are for sure safe are the big three in Wesley, Nina Dobrev, and Ian Somerhalder. While there could be reasons why one of them departs the show at the end of the season, we cannot see any of them saying farewell right in the middle of it when there is for sure still time left on their contracts.

I think Paul Wesley is leaving the show, i don’t blame him the show is going downhill because the ratings have dropped.
