‘The X Factor’ UK results: Was Lauren Platt or Andrea Faustini eliminated before final?

Tonight, “The X Factor” had what was by and large their most emotional results show of the entire season. If you get eliminated here, you are basically getting eliminated a week before the big finale. That basically means that you have to deal with the idea of going home and watching the final rather than actually being in it.

With this being said, it was pretty easy to telegraph the results of this weekend’s version of the show from a mile away, mostly because of the sheer predictability of the results the past few weeks. Andrea Faustini and Lauren Platt have both struggled with the votes as of late, so why wouldn’t they be the bottom two?

Seeing Lauren leave the competition was no surprise in the slightest. She’s been very good, but has been in the bottom two twice now, and it felt like she was a step behind some of the remaining acts.

Do we feel like she could be a real recording artist? Definitely, but she needs another year or two to really work on things and try to blossom even further. We hope that someone does give her a record deal because of this, but incubates her rather than trying to push out a release within the next six months or so. Let her tour, figure out what sort of music she wants to make, and then prepare something.

As for Andrea, we don’t see him beating Ben Haenow or Fleur East. With that being said, we do imagine him having some sort of career performing in stage / orchestra venues.
