‘The Bachelor’ spotlight: Will Ashley Iaconetti be major part of Chris Soules’ season?

Ashley -We are a few spotlight articles in now when it comes to previewing the new season of “The Bachelor,” and as of right now, we have to say that Ashley Iaconetti may be one of the most interesting contestants that we’ve profiled for a number of reasons. There are many reasons why she and Chris Soules should not work as a couple, but maybe he will find her fascinating enough that he will have a hard time sending her home.

In case you haven’t heard, we are doing some of these spotlight articles every day leading up the the January 5 premiere of the show. You can check out all of the others we’ve done so far at the link here. Don’t worry; there are no spoilers in this article.

Age – 26

Hometown – Wayne, New Jersey. While that is not a big city, she does seem accustomed to more of a city lifestyle, saying in her bio that she doesn’t like to get up before 10:00 in the morning. How will that work on a farm?

Occupation – Nanny. Clearly, a good sign that she is good with kids, in the event that these two get married after the show.

Bio highlights – Chris Harrison spotlighted Ashley in a Yahoo TV article, and this is really a good description of what we should be looking out for: “She’s a good Italian girl from Jersey. She’s drop-dead gorgeous but is also a very beautiful girl on the inside. She’s a self-proclaimed virgin with a healthy libido. She got out of the limo, in a dress her grandmother bought, and Chris said under his breath, ‘Are you kidding me?’ She blew him away, but then she came out and told him that she’s a virgin. It wasn’t necessarily for religious reasons so much as she hasn’t found the right guy. We’ll have to see if that is weird for him.” She is one of the few contestants we’ve discussed with what looks to be an active Twitter.

Positives – She seems extremely outgoing, loves family, and enjoys some manly activities like watching football. She may stand out from the other women early just because she is different, and has a unique story to tell.

Negatives – With this being said, Ashley’s status as a virgin is one of those things that works both for and against you. It could make Chris nervous, and if he is having any doubts about them, he’ll be quicker to send her home. Also, we can’t see her out in a farming environment.

Prediction – Ashley is a longshot to win; more than likely, though, we see her as someone who makes it around the time of hometown dates, and then gets sent home due to one or two nagging doubts.
