‘Top Chef: Boston’ video: ‘Last Chance Kitchen’ returns soon!

You’ve likely been waiting for some time now for “Top Chef: Last Chance Kitchen” to premiere, and we definitely get that. We enjoy this web series just about as much as we enjoy “Top Chef” proper, and that makes us really eager to see it back.

First, we have to say that we don’t understand why Bravo has started to wait on this. Wouldn’t they make more money doing this almost the entire season? Maybe it is a production issue or a schedule thing, like maybe they want to wait for a ton of contestants to be eliminated so they can film many of these installments in just the span of a few days, versus sitting around and waiting for the next contestant to be eliminated.

Anyway, we can tell you that we are going to be getting an opportunity to see a two-part return to the show, which should help to set up the foundation for the competition this time. Remember, though, that before “Last Chance Kitchen,” the eliminated chefs are returning Wednesday night. If they can defeat someone in a sudden-death quickfire, they get an opportunity to enter the competition immediately. Talk about stakes! It’s so crazy a twist that part of us really wants to see that happen.

We’re going to have some more when it comes to this episode soon, so stay tuned for more of that! For now, though, we have to favor Keriann as the favorite among the returning chefs … if for no other reason that she was just eliminated.
