‘The Mentalist’ season 7, episode 2 video: One last look at ‘The Greybar Hotel’

What is the secret behind Sunday night’s new episode of “The Mentalist“? That is something that we finally have some answers to courtesy of the sneak peek below.

What is interesting first and foremost about this video is that it actually does not feature anything when it comes to Jane and Lisbon at all. Instead, Abbott does his part to get some more information about the case at hand, and also why in the world the CIA is so interested in working with the FBI to track down someone who, on the surface, does not appear to be anything more than a car thief.

This is where some of the big information starts to come out a little bit. Abbott is informed that there is so much more going on here with this “thief” than it would at first seem, and that is why it is so important Lisbon stays undercover, and tries to use her cellmate in order to get some further information on the man.

If you like both stakeout missions and seeing Robin Tunney’s character undercover, we’re feeling pretty good about the potential of this episode. If this sort of thing is not your cup of tea, just remember that there are eleven more coming up after it.

The one thing that we are the most interested in seeing for now is just what the role of Patrick Jane in all of this is going to be. Simon Baker’s character has not really been seen too much in some of the other sneak peeks (including the one here), and that makes some of his further involvement a mystery.
