‘The Newsroom’ season 3 spoilers: Be prepared for a significant time jump

The third season of “The Newsroom” has been definitely stuffed full of elaborate twists and turns so far, but some of the most dramatic ones may still be to come! This is at least what we are feeling based on some of the latest information that has been released on the subject … and pertaining to Will McAvoy.

According to a new report coming in via Entertainment Weekly, there is going to be a pretty significant time jump going into Sunday night’s episode … and Will McAvoy is going to be still behind bars. This extensive period of time behind bars could change the character in some ways. Not only that, but it could mean that Will had a few career setbacks as he misses out on a pretty big opportunity.

Are we going to see a major victory for Will still by the end of the series? We do not doubt entirely that this will happen, mostly because of the tone of the show. This is for the most part an optimistic series, and given the journey that we’ve seen Jeff Daniels and company on over the course of the past few years, we feel like he can find a way to get out of this situation okay.

The unfortunate thing is that there are only two episodes left, and that is not a whole time remaining to tell the story. Hopefully, we are going to get a great opportunity to be surprised along the way.
