‘The Mentalist’ season 7, episode 2 video: Another look at Lisbon in prison

Clearly, someone at CBS really wants you to know a few more things about Sunday night’s “The Mentalist” before it airs. How do we know? It has something to do with getting yet another sneak peek of what to expect right now!

This latest look at “The Greybar Hotel” is focusing mostly on the Lisbon character going behind bars, and doing so seemingly to get some information on a case that could be unfolding out in the real world. Her cover? Teresa McGregor, a woman who is supposedly in for burglary after the judge would not grant bail for repeat offenders. Meanwhile, her cellmate here has a variety of other charges against her, and it looks already like Lisbon is going to have some problems trying to break through her hard shell.

One other hint of potential trouble here comes courtesy of the end of this video, where you can see the cellmate refusing to give up the top bunk, and even threatening violence if Robin Tunney’s character tries anything. Who knows? Maybe this is some sort of reflection of life in prison. Or, maybe she just has some bizarrely unhealthy obsession with wanting to keep that part of the bed.

We imagine that over the course of the episode, these two characters are going to be spending quite a bit of time with each other. After all, isn’t this what happens when you end up having nothing else to do with your time? Let’s just hope that Patrick Jane is not off somewhere, driving himself completely off the wall.
