‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8 spoilers: First look at new Christmas episode!

The Big Bang Theory -We’ve seen “The Big Bang Theory” take on the subject of Christmas on a number of occasions in the past. Last year was a spoof of sorts on “It’s a Wonderful Life,” and that was pound for pound one of the better episodes around when it comes to pure comedy. It wasn’t “Leonard Nimoy’s napkin” funny, but fairly entertaining nonetheless.

This year, Christmas is coming around for the show on December 11, and it is a different sort of holiday than in years past. Specifically, Sheldon and Amy are going to be at odds when she decides that she wants to throw a proper Christmas party with a Victorian theme, and he basically has no interest in it at all. Who is surprised by this?

The photo above does not give away much, but you should know that there is a professional crisis in this same episode at the university that brings forth a great deal of conflict for Howard, Raj, and Leonard. This is the sort of story that really cannot judge very much at all until we actually see it.

This episode should be the last one of 2014 for the series, and while that means we won’t have seen much of the show as of late, the silver lining here is that it will lead to a chance for some other stories to air next year. The show should be back in January with a whole lot more.
