‘Survivor: San Juan del Sur’ episode 12 review: Natalie tries for another shakeup
The first episode of “Survivor: San Jaun del Sur” airing on CBS tonight was incredibly predictable, given that there was not really any rhyme or reason to the players left wanting to keep Reed around.
Tonight, we at least had the potential for some really cool stuff to happen courtesy of Natalie. The remaining twinnie has proved herself to be a mover and a shaker, and through most of the episode, she had one very important goal: To blindside Jon at all costs. She had a great plan, too, of using Baylor, Keith, and Alec to make it happen. They didn’t have to even tell the truth to Missy about what was happening.
Unfortunately, this blew up when Jon won immunity, and this made the path a little clearer. Natalie thought about using Keith to get rid of Alec since there was a plan to split the vote, but we didn’t understand the real logic there.
We’re glad that Natalie DID make the move, because it makes us want to root for her even more as a legitimate player this season. However, with this she probably now has Jon, Jaclyn, and Missy questioning her every move now. She has to figure out how to get Jaclyn Missy on her side, since that’s the only real way she, Keith, and Baylor can make a move now.
Then again, maybe Natalie was thinking more for the jury. She’s playing to win rather than second place, and we definitely admire that. Her actions alone made this episode a heck of a lot stronger than it was after the first hour.
Also, no more of Jon talking about wine. Please. Grade: B.
