NBC’s ‘The Voice’ spoilers: Matt McAndrew, Chris Jamison, more to head home

The Voice -

For the next new episode of the show, it appears as though “The Voice” is doing something similar to what “American Idol” does every year at its top three. They are going to be scheduling hometown visits!

Per Mjsbigblog, all of the top 5 contestants (Chris Jamison, Matt McAndrew, Taylor John Williams, Damien, and Craig Wayne Boyd) are going to all be visiting some locales in their hometowns, which will be filmed for segments on the show Monday night. We imagine that each contestant is going to be getting an opportunity to perform twice on the show, as well.

In addition to all of this, we also know that the three eliminated contestants from Tuesday in DaNica Shirey, Luke Wade, and Ryan Sill are all going to be getting a chance to visit their hometowns, as well. We imagine that the show had to schedule this long in advance, and therefore, the show is not going to make sure that any plans have been changed.

While this should make some good television, we have a hard time envisioning it playing any sort of significant role whatsoever in the show itself. The favorites are still the favorites, and everyone will probably be edited just about equally. The only thing that we would be worried about is turnout in some of these places on such short notice. The last thing that we would want if we were any of these guys is to go home, and then realize not long after that there was not a crowd there to see you.
