‘Girl Meets World’ season 2 spoilers: Rider Strong, William Daniels, more returning

For its second season, “Girl Meets World” is apparently holding nothing back in the way of nostalgia. After all, a series if beloved faces are all returning to the Disney Channel hit.

This news was confirmed by none other than series star Ben Savage, who posted the image below on his Twitter account. Rider Strong, William Daniels, and William Russ are all coming back! How can you not be happy about this? It feels like the decision to bring more of the “Boy Meets World” into the show again is twofold.

1. Now that it is known that the show is successful, there is far less of a risk for these actors coming back. They obviously don’t want to just make it look like they are exploiting the roles that made them famous. Now that they know that this is not the case, there may be more comfort with going back.

2. Also, the producers probably wanted to make sure in the early going that they were creating something new, and not just exploiting the memory of a once-great franchise. Now that they’ve proven their concept to young viewers, they may be more willing to play with nostalgia.

There is still a handful of season 1 episodes still to air on the Disney Channel, so don’t expect to see the particular image coming onto the show anytime in the immediate future. With a show like this, there really is no reason to rush things along. Episodes are typically filmed a heck of a long time in advance.
