‘Doctor Who’ season 8: Air time for Christmas Special revealed
When is the “Doctor Who” Christmas Special going to air? We come today bearing some great news, and that is some of the first official word on when this big event is going to air.
The BBC has confirmed now that this special will be airing at the very early time, at least for this show, of 6:15 p.m. London time. This is 1:15 p.m. on the East Coast in America, and 10:15 in the morning on the West Coat. There is not necessarily any real reason to include these times, at least other than giving you a little bit more context. This special will air on BBC America a little later in the day.
This episode is entitled “Last Christmas,” and one of the things that you can really look forward to the most here is an appearance of Nick Frost in the role of Father Christmas. This is the fifth Christmas Special for Steven Moffat, and also the third for Jenna Coleman as Clara. She initially debuted in one two years ago, and then went on to have half a season alongside Matt Smith to go along with the Anniversary Special and Christmas Special.
Meanwhile, this is the first one for Peter Capaldi in the starring role of the Doctor; he had a small cameo in the one last year, and he has at least one more under his belt in 2015. He has already confirmed that he has a deal in place to return to the show next year.
