‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2 winter finale spoilers: Coulson, Whitehall face off; Skye’s past

After tonight’s new episode of Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD,” there is only one thing that is very easy to assume: Things are not exactly going to level off when it comes to crazy. You can expect quite a few shocking developments, and hopefully also a great cliffhanger that will keep you on your toes until March when the show returns.

Before we do anything else here, let’s go ahead and share the official synopsis now for this episode:

“Coulson and Whitehall’s forces meet in an explosive confrontation that dramatically alters everyone’s fates. Meanwhile, Skye discovers shocking secrets about her past.”

As the promo below reveals, though, this is not going to be the same sort of father / daughter reunion involving Skye that you would really hope for. Instead, it is going to ignite what is being referred to here as a “war.” Expect drama, chaos, and pretty much everything else you would expect in such a situation.

Do we want answers? We certainly are hoping for it, but we don’t think we are going to be getting them when it comes to everything on this show. There are still some other mysteries that we’ll have to wait for most-likely until March. (Until that time, you do at least have “Agent Carter” to look forward to. We imagine that it will appeal to at least a reasonably-similar crowd, and she has already mad some appearances on this show already.)
