‘Survivor: San Juan del Sur’ episode 11 preview: The source of Jon, Jaclyn’s fight

Jon Misch -If you have been wondering for the past several days why Jon and Jaclyn get so mad at each other on “Survivor: San Juan del Sur,” we now have a sense in the sneak peek below from Wednesday night’s new episode: It’s all about credit.

Specifically, Jon is peeved at Jaclyn after she gave Natalie credit for telling him to play the hidden immunity idol, thinking that this will weaken his chances of winning at the end. Maybe this is true, but it was actually Natalie who told him to make the move! Why not just vote Natalie out at final five, then it doesn’t really matter? This is such a small, silly, and short-sighted thing to be made about, since there is no guarantee at all that Jon makes it this far.

The fact that these two get so upset in some way illustrates why neither one of them may be the optimal winner of this season, since they react emotionally to game crises more than they should. Meanwhile, we’re liking Natalie’s chances more and more by the week. She is making good moves, thinking strategically, and she even has an immunity idol of her own now.

With all of this being said, it does feel like we’re in for a fairly boring two episodes coming up, and that Alec and Reed are going to be eliminated sooner rather than later. Hopefully that changes, but we’re not that confident.

Also, we want to throw this in here for anyone who is curious: That promo that aired during the NFL game over the weekend was a complete faux pas on the part of production. We don’t think it is meant to tease anything this season, and it was actually for the last “Blood vs. Water.”
