‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 2 fall finale review: Who died, and who did the killing?
There have been times on “Sleepy Hollow” season 2 so far that things have gotten just a little bit crazy, and that is putting it mildly.
Tonight, however, you may have felt your own soul climb out of your body much in the same way that we’ve seen characters give up their souls to others. For example, tonight was a tough one to watch if you love the character of Irving.
Is the one-time Captain dead? It definitely seemed that way for at least a little while tonight, and this was enough to make us wonder if we will end up seeing him again. Abbie was clearly broken upon seeing him, and the reason we’re not ruling out an eventual return of Irving is simple: Crazy things happen on this show all the time. It’s so hard to tell whatever is going to come moving forward.
Still, this was not the only crisis and shock during this episode. Ichabod showed to his son Henry a number of times that he was willing to sacrifice himself for the sake of those he loved, regardless of what they did beforehand. In turn, Henry killed Moloch himself! What does this mean? If nothing else, it is possible that we could finally see some peace in Sleepy Hollow. If nothing else, it’s a quieting down of matters temporarily.
We don’t trust Henry, but we at least have a major shake-up that is going to keep things interesting for a while … not to mention an excellent conclusion to what was at times a bumpy fall season. Grade: A-.
