Is ‘The Originals’ season 2, episode 9 new tonight? Also, Claire Holt scoop

In some ways, this article regarding “The Originals” is two-pronged, but we will begin it with what is the rough news for many fans to inevitably hear: There is not a new episode coming on The CW tonight. “The Map of Moments” airs on the network next week, and this will serve as the fall finale for season 2.

If you want to see some more updates in terms of what you can see then, more Rebekah is high on the list! This episode is the second of Claire Holt’s two back on the show, and through this story, we learn more about how much being around Baby Hope has changed her character already. As a matter of fact, she explains as such in a new chat with TVLine:

“We learn how much raising Hope has led Rebekah to crave that child of her own, even more so now than she already did … She knows Hayley is Hope’s mother, and she has to return her, but she’s fiercely protective and loves that child. It’s going to be difficult for her.”

For the record, Holt said that she would be interested in returning to the show again at some point later this season, though she does not have anything scheduled at present. We know that there are many, though, who are still hoping to see her again after her sudden exit during the first season; we were made even more devastated by it thanks to the show being titled “The Originals.” This made us think all of them were going to remain a part of it forever.
