‘The Flash’ crossover: Who will have a hard time with Oliver Queen, ‘Arrow’ team?
Throughout most of the massive promotional campaign lately for the upcoming crossover event for “Arrow” and “The Flash,” one thing has remained plenty clear: We are going to see Barry Allen and Oliver Queen go toe-to-toe in what is one of the ultimate battles. This will be the theme for part of the first episode, and going into the “Arrow” half, we’ll start to see the two characters working together for a more unified cause.
So who may also be a little resistant to Oliver and company beyond Barry Allen? That sound be none other than Caitlin Snow, which should not surprise anyone given that she never acts particularly kind towards outsiders to the group. Given how many dangerous people are out there, can you really be that surprised by this?
Danielle Panabaker specifically previewed her role in the crossover to TVLine recently, and stated the following in discussing the part that she played:
“She’s a little skeptical at first, that first moment where there’s so many people at S.T.A.R. Labs … Caitlin’s worked very hard to protect Barry and make sure nothing happens to him… That’s definitely a challenge for her. She’s skeptical, but happy.”
What we really hope for above all else from this special is that it serves almost as a giant love letter almost to the entire DC universe, with as many different nods and references to other people who are a part of it as possible. We do know, after all, that the show is only allowed to use so much material.
We recently posted a new comic preview for the second part of this crossover event, and you can see that right away just by heading over to the link here! Also, sign up to get some further updates on all we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: The CW.)
