‘The Flash’ spoilers: Winter premiere title hints at Captain Cold return

Did you really think that we were going to be seeing the end for Captain Cold on “The Flash” at any point in the future? The last episode featuring Wentworth Miller basically made it relatively clear that we were not done with the character, and we’ve now got more verification on this than ever before.

Per a new report from SpoilerTV, the title for the 10th episode of this season, which also happens to be the winter premiere, is none other than “Revenge of the Rogues.” This is an obvious reference to the Rogues Gallery, which should include Captain Cold and Heat Wave. Who knows? Maybe another villain that we’ve met this season like the Mist, or someone we’re going to meet like Reverse-Flash, could also be making an appearance in some form.

Regardless of who is on the show, we’re just glad that there are some villains who are going to resurface. If there is one criticism that we would offer of “The Flash” as a series right now, it is that many of the villains have felt like almost case-of-the-weeks stories for a crime show. We already cover a million procedurals, and we don’t want to see the show go down this road.

Tuesday night marks the big crossover episode of the show, which you can preview and so much more at the link here. After that, the midseason finale is going to introduce us to Reverse-Flash for the first time, or whatever other name that the show wants to call him (Professor Zoom, etc.). Hopefully, the second half of this season will as a whole raise the stakes tremendously.
