‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: Show boss on Ray Palmer’s costume (with plenty of hype)

As you probably know already, there are many interesting things coming up on “Arrow” season 3, but in between the upcoming crossover event and some other subjects, it should not come as much of a shock that Ray Palmer has not necessarily gotten the most attention.

With that being said, though, be ready for some really great things to be coming up for this character. As showrunner Marc Guggenheim told IGN recently, even the debut of the costume for Brandon Routh’s character is something that you really should be excited about already:

“As soon as the costume is ready, you will see it. Trust me … Ray’s costume is the best costume we’ve ever done on the show. It is the kind of costume that feature films [get many years] to produce.”

For those of you who want to read the tea leaves here, we wonder if Ray could have a future long beyond this season based on the amount of effort that is apparently going into this outfit. Maybe they are planning for something greater from the character, but who knows? Maybe they just want to pay this much attention to detail that they ensure that almost everything that they put out on the screen for people to see is beyond excellent.

Also in this video, Guggenheim teases how Laurel is going to struggle with being the Black Canary, Oliver’s position after the midseason finale, and also much more. It closes with some more great conversation regarding Ra’s al Ghul, and how we could potentially end up seeing a very different sort of confrontation between him and Oliver than any other hero / villain face-off the show has done to date.
