‘Top Chef: Boston’ episode 7 preview: Adam faces a Restaurant Wars mystery

Top Chef -For many years, “Top Chef” has had a surprising amount of controversy regarding dishes or components of dishes that turn up missing. One of the most notable instances of this was back in the Washington DC season, where there was quite a lot of airtime spent discussing the case of a missing pea puree.

Well, we can now say with some confidence that there will be a different sort of mystery unfolding when it comes to a missing component on Adam’s dish. In the preview video below from Wednesday’s dish, you can see him understandably very upset over where in the world this component could be. The other chefs don’t see it, and neither has any of the dishwashers or anyone else seemingly around.

Do we feel like this is all a big misdirection? It certainly feels a little like it, given that this is a road that the show has taken us down a variety of times before. Why wouldn’t the show try to pull a fast one on us with a promo like this? You want to get more people watching!

The one thing that we do know is that if Adam cannot find what he is missing, or come up with a quick-fix solution, either everything else on his dish has to be perfect, or someone else had an epic collapse, if he wants to stick around in the competition. Otherwise, his time in the kitchen could be over.
