‘Survivor: San Juan del Sur’ video: See Wes’ reflections and more at Ponderosa

Typically, it is around this point in the “Survivor” week when we have at least done some sort of interview with the castaway who was eliminated. However, the exit interview press day was pushed back until early next week due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

With that, and our desire to give you something more “Survivor”-related this week, it seemed like a good idea to share the latest Ponderosa video here featuring Wes Nale, since we found this one to be particularly interesting on a number of levels.

We begin here simply with the fact that this guy cannot contain himself at all when it comes to food. It’s pretty hilarious. While we first and foremost had the epic #TacoOverload that happened earlier this season, and then the chicken wing incident that took place during the Immunity Challenge, this guy managed to literally gain about ten pounds during his first day at Ponderosa! What makes this even funnier is that both Jeremy and Josh are still in the process of talking about the game, and Wes is too busy eating really to care.

From here, things take a surprisingly interesting and rather sweet turn as the three guys all start to talk a little about their lives back home, and starting to understand where each other comes from. As it turns out, Jeremy has a gay twin brother, and he shared the story about how he came out, and how that was different than the response Josh received from his own family. Meanwhile, we learned a little about how this experience opened Wes’ eyes to a variety of different people that he never has a chance to meet down in Louisiana. Wes may not be a strategist, but he seems to have a whole lot of heart.
