‘The Walking Dead’ season 5, episode 8 spoilers: A look at Danai Gurira’s Michonne

Where in the world has Michonne been on “The Walking Dead” so far this season? There have been many worthy questions to ask as of late when it comes to the show, but this is almost definitely one of them.

The last time the character had a story of substance, it was when we saw more of her family life during the second half of season 4. While we know that she is involved in Sunday’s finale entitled “Coda” (the attached photo above is proof of that), this does not necessarily mean that she has an enormous role in it to play in the slightest. This just means that there is at least one moment where the camera is focused squarely on her.

With all of this being said, the one silver lining that we feel comes from this situation is mostly that we do believe that Michonne is going to make it through this part of the season alive at the end of the day. Typically, shows like to give you a little something to cling to before you take something or someone away. This is why we’re most worried about people like Eugene, Carol, or Beth going into the finale, since we have seen so much of their individual stories play out recently.

As for who is definitely safe, we’d say that Rick, Carl, Daryl, Michonne, Glenn, and Maggie are all pretty high on the list. These are either all major characters, or ones that we feel still have something left in the tank story-wise.
