‘The Blacklist’ season 2 spoilers: Diego Klattenhoff, Ryan Eggold at Macy’s Parade
There is nothing crazier than watching interviews at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, mostly because they often feel as though they have been dipped in an extra layer of cheese. Plus, some of Al Roker’s questions are traditionally worth an eyeroll or two (or three).
We won’t blame Al, though, for the interview featuring “The Blacklist” stars Diego Klattenhoff and Ryan Eggold. The real enemy here was time, since they had about a minute for the appearance after spending so much time getting dressed up and sitting out in the cold. When Roker asked Eggold just who this guy Tom Keen really is, this is all that he would say:
“Who is this guy? … He’s a guy, he is a live, that is all I can say.”
The one thing that was interesting that came from this interview was merely finding out that the Super Bowl episode of the show is the first of a two-parter. This is one of the smartest things that the show could have done! Basically, they are giving viewers an idea to do something more beyond just watching the show February 1. They will want to stick with the show at its new Thursday-night timeslot (up against “Scandal”) to see what happens next.
For the record, we do feel like the fears of the show tanking on Thursday are overblown. If it is a good show, viewers will come no matter what. It has already done well against two very-similar shows airing against it in “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “Castle.” It should be able to handle a major threat from ABC here, as well.
