‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 2 spoilers: Meet Calvin … and Thomas Jefferson!

After reading that title, we really wish that “Sleepy Hollow” was also going to be casting Hobbes in the near future … alas, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Anyhow, let’s go ahead and start to dish a little on who could be the newest addition to the show for new episodes next year, and also a potential love interest for Abbie. Per TVLine, this guy is a former Navy SEAL, who now makes a living as a photojournalist who is completely focused on doing the right thing and telling the right story. To us, he feels almost a little bit like the Sleepy Hollow version of Will McAvoy with the potential to kick butt and take names.

Just in case this little bit of casting news was not enough for you, know that the show is bringing another Founding Father into the mix to go along with George Washington and Benjamin Franklin: Thomas Jefferson! The aforementioned site says that the show’s version of the character is both “charismatic” and “intelligent,” and we certainly do not doubt either one of these.

“Sleepy Hollow” does not have a 22-episode season, but it will have an extended arc of episodes that air early next year. Our feeling is that the show will probably work to ensure it is wrapped up come March, that way Fox can unleash the latest season of “The Following” to go on the air after it on Mondays. This means probably a few weeks without “Gotham,” which could be rough; however, at the same time we are curious to see if the show improves its ratings next year when it is not against “The Voice.”
