‘Criminal Minds’ season 10, episode 9 review: Rossi’s past comes back
Tonight’s episode of “Criminal Minds” season 10 is an interesting one, primarily because of the fact that it aired the day before Thanksgiving, and there may be a good many people out there who don’t end up seeing it.
That is a shame, since “Fate” actually turned out to be one of the finest episodes of the season so far, and a particularly emotional one for all of those who love the Rossi character. He realizing that he had a daughter this whole time opened up an emotional can of worms for him, as he had to look back on why he left France, and how he did not want to be a good husband at all. Instead, he was more settled on just advancing forward in the FBI.
His meeting with his daughter at first was tense, but it became better as time went on and by the end of it, he managed to find a way to spend some time with her.
All of this worked this week alongside a story that was mostly all about a killer who felt terrible over the crimes that she committed, and it was due to a mental disorder that was caused from a car accident. As far as cases go, this one was largely interesting because it was not your typical killer, and not your typical motives. There isn’t a whole lot more to say about that, though, since most of the endings for these cases end up being the same.
Still, if you enjoy “Criminal Minds,” then odds are you probably enjoyed this episode very much. Grade: B+.
