‘The Walking Dead’ season 5 video: Norman Reedus, Andrew Lincoln on zombie effects
There were many things to like about this past episode of “The Walking Dead,” but we would say that there is one thing in particular that stood out about it above almost anything else: the sheer greatness of some of the zombie effects that were created by some of the team behind the scenes.
More than anything else, this is what the video released by AMC is all about: Giving you some insight into how those fleshy, disgusting-looking zombies from this past episode “Crossed” came about, and sometimes how such simple techniques as digging a hole were enough in order to make you believe that there were random zombie parts lying around.
Your tour guides through this disgusting world were none other than series stars Andrew Lincoln (Rick) and Norman Reedus (Daryl), who poured on the praise for the stunt team to go along with Chad Coleman (Tyreese). These three men are all going to have a big role in the midseason finale airing on Sunday, given that at the center of this story will be questions all about whether or not Beth and Carol will be freed. Even if they do make it through their present situation alive, there’s still a chance that Melissa McBride’s character in particular could perish from all of her injuries. With that being said, wouldn’t it be very depressing if this is how Carol ends up going?
We’ll have more news leading up to the big episode this Sunday, so be on the lookout for it throughout the upcoming Thanksgiving break.
