ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7, episode 9 preview: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion take on ‘Last Action Hero’
Tonight’s episode of “Castle” was certainly emotional, and to go along with that, it was stuffed full of intensity as Esposito had to figure out how in the world he was going to get a train car full of people to safety.
So after something like this, we’re pretty happy that it looks as though the next new episode of the ABC show is going to be stuffed full of a little bit of comedy. The next episode is entitled “Last Action Hero,” and the story was all about an attempt for Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters to uncover the truth after the death of an iconic action star. While there is inevitably going to be some sadness in here, we also expect plenty of humor to along with the great roster of guest stars.
If you want to see some other news in terms of what to expect here, just take a look right now at the official synopsis:
“When the star of Castle’s favorite ‘80’s action movie is mysteriously murdered, Castle and Beckett delve into the victim’s secret past and pursue his killer with help from a team of aging action heroes. Krista Allen and Ted McGinley guest star.”
This episode is the penultimate one of the year, and while we feel like it’s going to be entertaining, don’t expect many details about the longer story until “Bad Santa” the following week. That is where the Castle story at the start of the season will come roaring back.

All of Child’s Play, overplayed invisible man scenes, ridiculous meme and sword scene, Wild West bar entrance/bumbling antics throughout, triple puns and hamming for camera at end kill switch and now action hero… Just saying ‘less is more’ with Nathan’s style – balance of real wit, sincerity, little goofiness but not the overplaying to date this season.

Ugh! Looks like another Nathan sitcom-slapstick plot ..seriously enough is enough – get back to cases, characters, and balance that made the show great.
