‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4: Sarah Bolger’s schedule just got crazier

Once -For those of you hoping that there would be a whole lot more of Aurora long-term on “Once Upon a Time,” we have some news today that suggests that any future appearances on the show are likely going to be limited to a certain extent.

AMC confirmed today that Bolger has signed up for the six-episode project “Badlands” that caters very much around the world of martial arts. Emily Beecham and Oliver Stark are also on board as regulars. David Dobkin is going to direct the pilot.

Per AMC’s press release, “Beecham plays The Widow, a regal beauty and a cunning strategist with extravagant, high fashion taste who has gained power the old-fashioned way – she’s spilled blood for it. Bolger plays Jade, a porcelain beauty who masks her ambition with fragile innocence.”

While this may mean that you won’t be seeing Aurora in a regular capacity on the show anytime soon, you weren’t really seeing her in this form, anyway. With this only being six episodes, there will still be time for her in Vancouver provided that there is an interesting role for her to play on the show. With Maleficent coming, you would think that there would be something interesting for her to do. Then again, we never quite know with this show. The whole Aurora / Mulan story had the potential to be really great, but they never have done anything with it after that initial confession was made last season.

After a one-week hiatus due to the American Music Awards, there will be a new episode of “Once Upon a Time” airing Sunday night.
