‘How to Get Away with Murder’ spoilers: One tense Christmas vacation
When you remember that there are characters on ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder” plotting, scheming, and working their butts off to impress Annalise Keating, it actually is easy to forget sometimes that they are still students of hers at the same time. Even the chalkboard at the end only reminds you to a certain extent.
Well, you are going to be getting an enormous reminder in regards to where the characters have been courtesy of the show’s upcoming first few episodes back (starting on January 29), given that the reality of Christmas vacation was something weighing on these characters while they were scrambling to pick up the pieces after Sam’s death.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly now, showrunner Pete Nowalk gives us a little bit of a tease as to what we are going to be seeing these characters up to next:
“They’ve now murdered someone and they’re supposed to all go off in their separate directions … We’re going to get a glimpse of that in one of the episodes, like what happened over Christmas break and how they all had to return to their families and loved ones in probably the time of their lives that they least feel like the people they used to be.”
With these reminders of home in mind, we do wonder whether or not some of these characters are going to return to this world feeling somewhat like they no longer want any part of it at all. We wouldn’t be shocked, but for some of them (especially Wes), they are so far deep that it’s going to be impossible for them to get out.
