‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 spoilers: Could Amelia save Dr. Hermann?

With so many other things happening on “Grey’s Anatomy,” the question as to whether or not Dr. Hermann could actually be saved is not a question that has been asked by many. Maybe part of the reason for that is that there has been a pretty common assumption among some that she was just not going to make it.

If there is one person who could in theory save her, it’s Amelia. She has some of the experience in fighting to make things happen, and through her own journey, we have definitely learned that she is not the sort to want to give up on anything.

With all of this in mind, Caterina Scorsone did an interview recently via Entertainment Weekly about the second part of the season, and explained a little about how her character starts to become a little transfixed on trying to save her from her tumor:

“Amelia almost starts to form a bit of a relationship with it … She’s so awed by the mystery of this impending doom. It becomes personal for her. She’s lost so many people in her own life that saving lives has become really the central focus of her energy.”

Personally, we are just thrilled that Amelia is going to have a role on the show moving into the near future, given how we were previously so worried about her job status, and being betrayed by her brother as she was recently. This has been a very hard road for her, and we are sure that there will be some more stumbling blocks still.
