‘The Originals’ season 2, episode 8 video: Claire Holt’s Rebekah looks ahead

You’ve been waiting all week for “The Originals” to air their latest episode entitled “The Brothers that Care Forgot,” and that wait has probably been accelerated to yet another level if you are someone extremely eager to see Rebekah back in the picture again.

With this being said, who know how long Claire Holt is really going to be in the picture? If we were to wager right now, we’d say it won’t be for a long time given that she’s not a regular … though ultimately, a little bit of Rebekah is infinitely better than not getting a chance to see any Rebekah at all.

In the sneak-peek video below, the character continues to show how much that she has bonded with Klaus and Hayley’s child Hope, and how wonderful this experience has been for her. With that being said, there is a slight air of sadness to it, as she is very aware of the fact that her happiness in regards to the child is most-likely fleeing. She knows that she is not going to be able to keep the kid as a part of her life forever, and therefore realizes that eventually, she will have to give her back to her mother.

There may also be a strange, awkward sort of pain that also comes from the realization that at some point decades down the road, this child is going to look old, and she will continue to look the same. Seeing everything from birth to death would be a difficult process for anyone to handle, regardless of who they are at the end of the day.
