‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7, episode 12 preview: Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal, pain, and a ‘Red Rose’ delay
The first thing that we should tell you about the next “Sons of Anarchy” episode is pretty simple: You’re going to be waiting to see it for at least a little while.
For the second year in a row, FX has opted to not air a new episode of their hit drama on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, and we understand it from a scheduling point of view. Given that there are some people preparing to travel on that day, why would you run the risk of having a smaller audience than you would otherwise? This next episode, entitled “Red Rose,” will air December 2.
In terms of the title this week, there is not too much we can say about it right now. It is not so obviously significant to “Hamlet” as “Suits of Woe” or “What a Piece of Work Is Man.”
In the preview that aired after tonight’s episode, we had at least a slightly-better idea of where we are headed now. Jax’s emotions are all over the place in the wake of what happened, and the reveal that Gemma killed his wife. He may want vengeance, but at the same time, what good has his vengeance done so far? Meanwhile, Gemma is getting as far away as she can from the situation right now, knowing that there is a reckoning most likely at her doorstep.
Given that this is the penultimate episode of the entire series, expect significant progress as Charlie Hunnam and Katey Sagal’s characters start to sort this out. However, above all else, expect pain … and plenty of it.

Red Rose – isn’t that the tattoo on Maggie Siff’s/Tara’s back in the opening credits?
