‘White Collar’ series finale spoilers: Prepare for many callbacks
It is crazy to first of all think that we are almost at the halfway point of “White Collar” season 6, but it’s true. There is a part of us still frustrated about USA only dishing out a final-season order of only six episodes, but at the same time, we know that we also have gratitude for getting them in the first place.
At least the following slice of news makes us get a little bit more excited about the upcoming series finale for the show airing next month: The writers and producers are really doing almost everything that they can to make this feel like a love letter to the show.
According to a TVLine report, expect the finale to call back to not only a number of storylines that have played out for Matt Bomer and company since the very beginning of the show, but also some beloved characters. Creator Jeff Eastin also had the following to say:
“My hope is that people who are real fans of the show, who’ve stuck with us this entire time, will not be disappointed.”
Ultimately, we wouldn’t be worried about a “How I Met Your Mother” / “True Blood” sort of series finale fail if we were you with this show, mostly because it seems like Eastin and company really came from this with pleasing the fans in mind, almost as a thank-you for allowing the show to tell the end of its story. Therefore, they probably went through a lot of effort to ensure that they could reconcile these wishes alongside what they feel is right for the overall story.
