David Chappelle wants on ‘Scandal’ season 4, ‘Walking Dead’ season 5, possibly more

In reference to the title, Dave Chappelle may want to be a busy man again … at least if you take some of his recent comments rather seriously.

The legendary comic-turned-recluse has been a little more public as of late, and speaking to GQ in its new December issue, he made a surprising announcement that could make “Scandal,” “The Walking Dead,” or some other shows more interesting if his dream actually became a reality:

“For one year, I want to do this thing where I guest-star on as many television shows as I possibly can … I’d be a zombie in The Walking Dead. A corpse on CSI. I’d be the first black guy to ***k Olivia Pope on Scandal.”

For the record, Olivia Pope has already had a black love interest on the show, but that’s neither going here nor there.

The funny thing here is that regardless of Chappelle’s intent with this comment, he is probably going to get tons of offers from various shows to appear anyway. While some like “The Walking Dead” may or may not want to use them, given that it really doesn’t need to pull any stunt where people are watching for Chappelle-zombie more than paying attention to the story, there are other comedies or dramas out there that could benefit heavily from a cameo from the comic. Given how rarely he has been on TV since his days on Comedy Central, almost any appearance featuring the guy is at this point a win.
