ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7, episode 8 preview: A big Jon Huertas episode lies ahead in ‘Kill Switch’

Esposito -Due in part to the way that the last few episodes of “Castle” have been told, there have not been many opportunities to focus on some of the supporting characters.

Based on what we know in the early going about next week’s “Kill Switch,” though, it looks like it may place Jon Huertas’ character of Esposito front and center. He will be involved in a hostage crisis, and he may have to rely on Castle, Beckett, and the rest of the precinct before he is rescued. You can take a look at the official synopsis below for more:

“When subway passengers, including Detective Esposito, are taken hostage by a mysterious gunman, Castle, Beckett and the team must uncover the gunman’s agenda before it’s too late.”

The promo below gives you a little bit more of an opportunity to see what lies ahead, and it also shows you just how precarious a position that Esposito is in.

Given that press materials have already confirmed that the character survives this situation, the question you should be wondering now is this: What sort of long-lasting impact is this episode going to have on Esposito? Our feeling is that it is going to help him realize the great things that are in his life, and that could set up some big things. Specifically, we hear that the midseason finale, entitled “Bad Santa,” is going to be a very important one for the character.
