‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7, episode 11: Kevin Ryder follows up Chris Franjola, Kurt Sutter as ‘Anarchy Afterword’ host

The hosting gig on “Anarchy Afterword” is starting to feel like a revolving door.

Last week, the news broke that Chris Franjola, who hosted all of the editions of the “Sons of Anarchy” aftershow since it first premiered last year, would no longer be doing the show. This news was met with mostly praise from viewers, who largely disliked his manner of hosting. (Personally, we feel like it is proof of how much we underrate Chris Hardwick on “Talking Dead.”)

Following that, show creator Kurt Sutter lead a roundtable discussion on “Anarchy Afterword” last week, and basically was the de facto host for the proceedings. This time around, though, we have yet another new face on board. Kevin Ryder, a popular radio personality behind “The Kevin & Bean Show” on KROQ, will be front and center for the show this time. The guests will be Jimmy Smits (Nero) and Drea de Matteo (Wendy) in-studio, while Theo Rossi (Juice) will appear via satellite.

Hopefully, Ryder will just remain the host of the show if he does a good job; we know that there are only two episodes left after this one, but we would like to see a little bit of continuity there from start to finish. The only other thing we’d be okay with is to bring Sutter back in, and have him lead the discussion of the final episodes. He may not be a host by trade, but his knowledge and passion makes up for it.

Tomorrow night’s new episode of “Sons of Anarchy” is entitled “Suits of Woe,” and here you will see all the aftermath to Jax learning the truth about Gemma.
