‘The Mentalist’ season 7 spoilers: Simon Baker’s Jane front and center for latest promo

Until recently, CBS was being pretty tight-lipped when it comes to the contests of “The Mentalist” moving forward, but luckily, we’re starting to get to a point where they are lifting the veil, and giving us a whole lot of specific stuff to look forward to.

For example, just take a look specifically at the latest promo that was released by the network for seven season, which at least includes a few happy Jane / Lisbon moments … but not a whole lot else. There’s really not a whole lot of content that you can shove into a promo that is this short! It’s still a nice reminder that Sunday, November 30 is less than two weeks away, and this is still much earlier than we ever expected to be getting the show back. In all honesty, there was a time we wondered if we would be seeing the series come on at all this year.

“The Mentalist” is really be used a sandwich series in a way to keep new programming on CBS even when other programs on hiatus. It will stay on Sunday nights until January, and then move over to Wednesdays. It will then fill that spot in the place of “Survivor” until that show comes on the air again in late February for its 30th season.

Who knows where the story will lead for Jane and Lisbon by then? We’d love to see an engagement or something else signaling a happy ending for SImon Baker and Robin Tunney’s characters, but the show may want to ensure that there is enough time to develop the two parties first.
