‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 2, episode 9 preview: Abbie lands a difficult case
Monday night, “Sleepy Hollow” may air one of its most important cases that we’ve seen yet for the character of Abbie Mills, especially since she is infiltrating a place in Tarrytown that has a deep connection to her past.
With that being said, this is why Abbie is being handed this particular case to begin with. There is understandably a huge emotional connection here, and the thought going into this is that this is the sort of thing that will motivate her to try to figure out what has led to a series of shocking suicides at the mental institution.
Ultimately, we feel pretty good that Abbie will figure this out, but not before she deals with even more difficult stuff. Just remember here that the title for this hour is “Mama,” and that alone suggests that she’ll have to deal specifically with some major ghosts of her past. Jenny is probably not immune to this, either.
The reason that we feel like these sort of Abbie-centric episodes on “Sleepy Hollow” are so effective is mostly because they are not being completely blown out of proportion on the show. She is usually so preoccupied having to do other things or taking out one demon after another, she really has not had a whole lot of time to really focus on some of her own problems.
We are getting close to the end of the fall half of this season, and you definitely have to think that this could lead to quite a few shocking developments.
