‘NCIS’ season 12 spoilers: Rocky Carroll poised to direct
You can definitely say at the moment that the cast of “NCIS” is versatile, can’t you? Rocky Carroll has already proved to be a jack of all trades on the show so far. He has appeared on all three versions of the show so far this year, and to go along with that, we also know now that he is officially going to be making his directorial debut on the CBS procedural a little later this season.
This will be a chance for Carroll to hone some more of his skills, and perhaps most importantly, it allows him to show yet another great side of who he is as a performer. Speaking in a statement about this opportunity to Entertainment Weekly, the actor passed along the following bit of information:
“I’m honored and humbled by this opportunity to make my directorial debut on NCIS … I’ve always believed that my greatest strength as an actor, the thing that has been most important to my success, is my ability to collaborate with others. It has served me well as an actor and I’m going to rely very heavily on it as a director!”
Meanwhile, “NCIS” showrunner Gary Glasberg was also kind enough to hand down some comments of his own:
“Rocky Carroll’s versatility and range of talent never ceases to amaze us. We know how gifted he is in front of the camera. We’re very excited to add the job of director to his impressive resume.”
Carroll’s episode of the show is going to air at some point early next year, and he follows in the footsteps of fellow cast member Michael Weatherly.
