Are we going to see Janel Parrish’s character of Mona in some form on the “Pretty Little Liars” finale? It may be a little early to say that right now, but we can at least confirm with confidence that the character will at least be back for one of the later episodes on this upcoming spring half of season 5.
The current “Dancing with the Stars” contestant confirmed the big news with a post on Twitter, and this solidifies just how incredibly busy she is going to be moving forward. It takes a whole lot of time to put together some of these routines, but scripted TV shows, especially one as intensive as “Pretty Little Liars,” also has very long filming days. This is what happens when you have around two dozen episodes a season.
If we had to put on our speculation cap right now when it comes to this episode, the easy theory to hypothesize when it comes to this episode is simple: We’re going to be seeing some sort of flashbacks, which could give us a better sense as to what Mona’s endgame on the show really was. This was not always the clearest when you were watching it, but that did not always matter. So much of what made this character fun was the constant sense of mystery.
We feel like so long as “Pretty Little Liars” is on the air, there is never a real reason to worry about whether or not Janel’s work is done. Mona is such a popular face that there will always be a use for her.
