‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8: Carol Ann Susi remembered after death in Chuck Lorre vanity card

The latest -At the end of every episode of most of his shows, Chuck Lorre tends to place what has become known as a vanity card. Sometimes, he places a funny quip or a message of humor in there; other times, he talks about controversies, or something dark in his life.

To date, the best-known vanity cards from Lorre are the ones that seem to reference his feud with Charlie Sheen during his days on “Two and a Half Men,” but after tonight’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory,” he used it to reference the passing of the great Carol Ann Susi.

As we wrote previously, the actress died at the age of 62, and is well-known for voicing Howard Wolowitz’s mother Debbie on the CBS series. She never actually appeared on the show, save for maybe a tiny cameo at the end of Howard’s wedding that was only from a great distance. Even without that, she was well-known as a wonderful part of the show family.

While we don’t have the entire caption of the vanity card from Lorre just yet, it was a touching way at the last-minute to pay tribute to the actress. The show films new episodes weeks in advance, and with that, there has not been time for the writers to figure out how to handle this. It is such a sad, serious subject, and it doesn’t seem right to bring in someone else to play the voice of the character.

We’ll have some further news on this soon, but now does not also feel like the right time to get into that much speculation on the subject. For now, we would just direct you over here, where you can see what most of the cast had to say about the actress prior to her sad passing. She will be missed by all who knew her. (Photo via CBS.)
